¹Immigration doesn’t require proof of income. However it’s highly advisable to pay payroll taxes as a business owner, a self-employed person or an employee. This will give you and your family permanent guaranteed access to healthcare and proof of income for your family’s residency application (if applicable) and an easier path towards banking and citizenship.
²Any mismatches between your names on your passport and your name on your foreign Birth and/or Marriage Certificate or your Uruguayan Birth and/or Marriage Certificate will hinder the approval of your residency application and/or the issuance of your permanent resident ID.
