
The processing of your ID card is included within the residency/relocation package. You can also hire an hourly service to exclusively deal with your ID card if your residency application has already been filed.¹ Its case file number will appear on the back of the ID card under ¨Observations¨.

- Passport.
- Birth Certificate + Apostille.
- Marriage Certificate + Apostille.
- Obtaining the required Uruguayan documents:
- Uruguayan Translation for passport.
- Uruguayan Translation for Marriage/Birth Certificates + Apostilles.
- Uruguayan Birth Certificate (for permanent resident ID card).
- Uruguayan Marriage Certificate (for residency application).
- Submission of documents and information updates before the ID office.
- Interpreting and scheduling assistance with local offices.
- Free bus pass.
- Free (birth, marriage, divorce, etc) certificate registration (required for permanent resident IDs and other procedures).
- Procurement of Uruguayan translator and notary documents.
¹The ID office (National Civilian Identification Agency or DNIC by its acronym in Spanish) works separately from Immigration, which doesn´t issue IDs.

Cost: Chosen relocation/residency package price (60% up-front and 40% once your permanent resident ID card is issued) or an hourly 50 USD /2000 UYU rate.¹⁴
