Hello everyone, my name is Kari and I’m from Canada.
I’ve been trying to get my family residency for 10 years. I finally had what I thought was all the paperwork ready and an appointment in Montevideo but then COVID struck. This complicated an already complex process even further.
That’s when I hired Aldo. It made a huge difference, among other things he even filed for successful name amendments when a couple of typo’s on my marriage certificate that stalled my application even further.
It was far more economical and easier to have Aldo make the online appointments and hand in the right documents in at the appropriate Montevideo offices, than for us to travel from Aguas Dulces, Rocha then spend the night in Montevideo and the added cost of meals and travel, not to mention the frustration of not knowing the complex in’s and out’s of which Government offices does what.

I first applied for permanent residency in 2010. The consultant I hired at the time didn’t complete my file and stopped assisting me. I repeatedly tried to finalize the application with the help of different people without success.
The process stalled altogether after the death of my husband who was my partner in life and in this process with his loving support and his fluent Spanish skills.
