
A foreign driver’s license can be revalidated at any Intendencia (municipality). A Uruguayan ID card is required.
The following documents are required:
- Uruguayan ID card.
- Driving record + Apostille + Uruguayan Translation.
- Driving class definition + Uruguayan Translation.
- Consular certification issued in Uruguay (for European licenses).
- Uruguayan medical exam from Biotec in Montevideo or CAVICA in Maldonado (not related to the Uruguayan Health Card and must be from the same jurisdiction as the municipality).
- Medical exam for drivers (Biotec or CAVICA)
- Health form (with Yes/No questions, provided by Biotec or CAVICA).
- Eye exam (glasses are required if applicable).
